Travis Grant
Cheif Executive Officer
As the CEO of the Colorado Livestock Association, I’m driven by a passion for advocating on behalf of Colorado’s livestock producers and advancing policies that foster the growth and sustainability of our state’s agricultural community. With a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the livestock industry, I am committed to leading our organization toward greater impact through strategic advocacy, industry partnerships, and innovative solutions.
Before stepping into my current role, I gained invaluable experience working across multiple levels of government and advocacy organizations, including time spent in the Colorado State Legislature, as well as on the staff of a U.S. Congressman. This unique perspective has honed my skills in lobbying, policy development, and building lasting relationships with key stakeholders in agriculture, government, and the private sector.
Throughout my career, I have focused on strengthening industry relations, driving revenue development, and crafting advocacy strategies that elevate the voices of stakeholders and create tangible, positive outcomes for our community. From crafting legislative solutions to collaborating with industry leaders, my work is centered around providing real value to the individuals and organizations that make up Colorado’s vital livestock sector.
Whether it’s navigating complex legislative landscapes, securing funding for key initiatives, or advancing the future of Colorado’s livestock industry, I’m passionate about creating opportunities and fighting for the future of agriculture. I thrive on connecting people, ideas, and resources to make a meaningful impact.
Jessica Lemmel
Director of Communications
I have been serving as the Director of Communications for the Colorado Livestock Association (CLA) since 2012. My current role involves media outreach and relations, managing social media and the website, publishing the CLA weekly email newsletter, producing the annual VISION magazine, and promoting CLA events.
I grew up in rural eastern Colorado, where my family raised dryland wheat, cattle, and sheep. In 2012, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Economics, along with a minor in Natural Resource Management, from Colorado State University. I later obtained my Master of Business Administration from Chadron State College in 2017.
My husband is a large animal veterinarian, and together with our two young children, we live in Ogallala, Nebraska. CLA members are the leaders in livestock agriculture in Colorado, and I have been extremely fortunate to work with and learn from the best of the best!
Jane Lundwall
Director of Administration
I graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations and have held marketing, development, management and administrative positions at various companies and non-profit organizations.
After meeting and marrying my best friend Jerry, we moved to Colorado to start our family and launch a corporate design and communications business where I served as Sr. Account Rep for national cable networks and fortune 500 companies.
My love for the non-profit world opened opportunities at Hospice, The Global Down Syndrome Foundation and Children’s Hospital Colorado to assist with marketing and fundraising. I planned openings of the Colorado Maternal and Fetal Care Center and Children’s Hospital Colorado South Campus in Highlands Ranch working in Physicians Relations. Â
With ties to family farms in SD and IA, I landed in the Ag industry in 2016 supporting the Colorado Farm Bureau, which led me to CLA in 2022 as Director of Administration overseeing an office move and diving right into office management and member support!
When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me on the tennis court, hiking, walking a beach or traveling with our 3 daughters and their families. My sweet granddaughter is the light of our lives!
