Aurora, Colo. – The Colorado Livestock Association was presented with a $5,000 donation from American AgCredit to support livestock producers affected by the Aspen Acres wildfire. The donation was presented during the annual Industry Partner Council Golf Outing at Quail Dunes Golf Course in Fort Morgan on August 25, 2026.

Colorado Livestock Association President Britt Dinis expressed appreciation for American AgCredit’s donation and its continued partnership with Colorado’s livestock industry.

“We are grateful for the support of our agribusiness partners, especially during times of natural disaster,” Dinis said. “American AgCredit’s generosity demonstrates the strength of partnership within Colorado agriculture. When we come together to support producers, we help them recover while strengthening the agricultural community as a whole.”

The Aspen Acres Fire started in eastern Custer County and spread to Pueblo County, burning more than 102,000 acres and becoming the seventh largest wildfire in Colorado’s history. The fire, as of Aug. 25, is 77% contained.

Donations will be distributed to producers who experienced property loss or damage from the fire. Funds will help offset the costs of fencing, pens, agricultural structure repairs, feed, and other necessary agricultural-related expenses associated with rebuilding and recovering from the Aspen Acres wildfire.
