Colorado Agricultural Hall of Fame Recognizes Longtime CLA Leader
The Colorado Livestock Association was proud to celebrate the induction of Jon Slutsky, a retired dairy farmer and longtime CLA volunteer leader, into the Colorado Agriculture Hall of Fame on February 26, 2026, at the annual Hall of Fame Banquet.
Jon and his wife, Susan Moore, owned and operated La Luna Dairy in Wellington, Colorado, from the early 1980s until his retirement. Beyond running a successful dairy operation, Jon dedicated himself to advocating for the agricultural community. He served on the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission, the Colorado Water Quality Control Commission, the USDA Agricultural Air Quality Task Force, and the CLA Board of Directors, helping to shape policies that balanced environmental stewardship with the needs of producers.
Throughout his years on the CLA Board, Jon volunteered countless hours, guiding the organization on key industry issues and championing the interests of livestock producers across the state. His induction into the Hall of Fame recognizes a career defined by service, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to Colorado agriculture.
Through his board service, volunteer leadership, and environmental advocacy, Jon has left a lasting legacy—strengthening CLA, supporting producers, and promoting sustainable practices that benefit Colorado’s agricultural community and natural resources alike.

Congratulations Jon!
