Colorado Clean Trucking Strategy Survey – Please Complete by February 28th

We would like to invite you to provide input on the Colorado Clean Truck Strategy by completing a brief survey about the medium and heavy duty vehicles in your fleet. We anticipate that it will take you less than 5 minutes to participate and your input is critical to the state’s understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing this sector. The survey will close on February 28, 2021.

In July 2020, the state of Colorado signed a multi-state Memorandum of Understanding to work collaboratively to advance the market for electric trucks and buses. At the same time, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Colorado Energy Office (CEO) and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) announced the Clean Trucking Strategy effort, a public process to work with industry and community stakeholders to develop a broad set of strategies to reduce emissions from heavy-duty vehicles. With transportation now the largest source of air pollution in Colorado — and with our economy increasingly reliant on freight, as exemplified during the COVID-19 crisis — it is critical that the state develop a thoughtful and balanced approach that provides a pathway for emissions reductions from this key sector.

The state held a series of public listening sessions in Fall 2020 to gather feedback and is now working with M.J. Bradley & Associates to collect and analyze data on medium and heavy duty fleet vehicles operating in Colorado. Hearing directly from Colorado fleets through this survey will provide important contextual information on how these vehicles are currently being used and will greatly enhance our ability to develop Colorado-specific strategies.

We understand that fleet data is business sensitive information and you may participate in the survey anonymously. If you choose to share your contact information with us, know that any data you provide for this survey will be aggregated and not directly attributed to your company or location in any public reports, documents or presentations.

Thank you for your participation in this important effort. Please feel free to share the survey link with other fleets.  We look forward to sharing the results of this data collection and analysis effort with you in Spring/Summer 2021. Please refer to the Colorado Clean Truck Strategy webpage for updates and information or email us at cleantruckstrategy@state.co.us with questions or comments.

Sincerely,

Kay Kelly
